SIGN UPS: Sign up in person on Thursday, August 7th or online.
FORMAT: 8 versus 8 on the field, Co-ed Football (5 males & 3 females). 2 hand touch, no contact, no blocking. Minimum age 21 years old.
GAME TIMES: Saturdays between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm starting September 6th. Games last approximately 1-hour.
WEATHER: Games are rain or shine, unless fields are unplayable. For severe weather, check the website or call the Rain Hotline: 301-565-3837. SSB will make-up two rained-out games.
SEASON: 8-week regular season w/ single elimination play-offs. Approximately 30% to 40% of the teams in each division will make playoffs (exact number of teams to be determined by SSB.)
PRIZES: Prizes for the winning team!
FIELD LOCATION: Main field - Meadowbrook Park in Rock Creek Park. Adjunct fields near Bethesda will also be used if needed (example-Randolph Hills).
FEE: $65 per player.
BAR SPONSOR: Caddies on Cordell and one additional bar TBD. Sponsor bars offer $2 Miller Lites and other drink and food specials for SSB players after games.
THREE DIVISIONS: “High Life” division is for teams that prefer to be more competitive. “Miller” division is for teams that prefer to be a little less competitive. "Lite" division for the teams that just want to have fun without worrying about being competitive.

You can sign up as a whole team or as and individual (or small group).
Team Sign –Ups:
On or before the sign-up night, team captains or representative, please submit only:
Team Information sheet (team name, number of players, team color, tee-shirt sizes, division, etc).
$260 nonrefundable deposit to reserve your team’s spot. $65 per player due at Tee-Shirt pick-up date (minus the $260 deposit). Minimum number of players per team is 12. No max number of players.
You will be responsible for paying for the number of tee shirts requested. No extra tee-shirts will be ordered. Completed waivers and team roster sheet are due at the tee-shirt pick up.
If new team sign-ups exceed league limitations, a lottery will determine which teams fill the available spaces.
Individuals and Group Sign-Up:
On or before the sign up night, individual players and groups please submit:

$65 individual registration fee
Individual players are those who don’t have a full team. You will be added to one of the following:
a) Established teams that need additional players.
b) New teams that are formed with other individuals.
Individuals can be placed on the same team with friends. Write down the other persons name on the registration/waiver form in the space provided. League fees are non-refundable unless SSB is not able to place you on a team.

Teams, Individuals and Groups can all sign up online.
Teams - If you are signing up with a team please only have one person sign up the team. It will be the team captain's responsibility to collect money and waivers from their players and submit the team balance due during the team captain's meeting. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE YOUR TEAM MEMBERS SIGN UP INDIVIDUALLY ONLINE.

Only team captains or representatives need to attend. Rules will be reviewed and questions will be answered. Schedules will be given out and tee shirts will be distributed only to the team captains or their designee. Team captains bring your:
Completed waivers
Completed roster
Balance of money due
The remainder of the fee is required at this time. The fee is equal to your number of players times $65 per player minus the $260 deposit. All information on the waivers and rosters must be filled out to participate in the football league. Every player must have a signed waiver and payment to receive a tee-shirt.

All SSB spring football players are welcome to the season kickoff happy hour. Please join us for great drink and food specials. Happy hour is held right after the Tee-Shirt Pick Up. Captains can pick up the shirts and then meet up with the team afterward!
