FORMAT: Indoor 6 versus 6 co-ed, 3 men & 3 women on the court per team. 3 games to a match. Best two-out-of-three games wins.
GAME TIMES: Thursdays between 6:00 pm and 10:30 pm staring January 15, 2009. Matches last approximately 45 minutes.
WEATHER: Games are rain or shine, unless snow has canceled public schools. For severe weather, check the website or call the Weather Hotline: 301-565-3837. SSB will make-up one snowed-out match.
SEASON: 8-week regular season w/ single elimination play-offs (Number of teams in the playoffs to be determined by SSB)
PRIZES: Prizes for the winning team!

FEE: $65 per player plus a $5 indoor court fee.
FEE INCLUDES: Court equipment, referees, and league tee shirt. Teams provide volleyball.

Team Sign-Up: On or before the sign-up night, team captains or representative, please submit:
Team Information sheet (team name, number of players, team color, tee-shirt sizes, etc).
$280 nonrefundable deposit to reserve your team’s spot.
If new team sign-ups exceed league limitations, a lottery will determine which new teams fill the available spaces. The minimum number of players per team is ten and there is no maximum number of players allowed on your team. You will be responsible for paying for the number of tee shirts requested. No extra tee-shirts will be ordered. Completed waivers and team roster sheet need to be submitted at the tee-shirt pick up.
Individuals and Group Sign-Up: On or before the sign up night, individual players and groups please submit:

$65 individual registration fee plus a $5 indoor court fee
Individual players are those who don’t have a full team. You will be added to one of the following:
a) Established teams that need additional players.
b) New teams that are formed with other individuals.
Individuals can be placed on the same team with friends. Write down the other persons name on the registration/waiver form in the space provided. League fees are non-refundable unless SSB is not able to place you on a team.

The remainder of the fees is required at this time. All information on the waivers and rosters must be filled out to participate in the softball league. Every player must have a signed waiver and payment to receive a tee-shirt. Unless SSB authorized exceptions are made, teams will receive a $50 fine if they do not have all payments and waivers completed by the team captain’s meeting. Tee-shirts will only be distributed to the Team Captains. Individuals must get their shirts from their team captain.
